Karmin has taken a few of the best lessons learned while homeschooling, specifically describing her experience with different curricula, and listing the pros and cons of each that she has used. If you are considering homeschooling, are just beginning homeschooling, or have spent years homeschooling one or multiple children, this book is for you. There are many benefits offered to families that homeschool, so many so that some are not included in this book, however, this book is meant to be a helpful tool, an idea outlet, or even a way to help you find your motivation again. This book is meant to encourage those that seriously want to homeschool and inform those that are uncertain. Karmin offers the facts and presents the information in a way as to not sway you one way or another, but simply to inform you of a different approach to teaching in the 21st Century.

Domestic Violence claims many lives every year, all around the world. This book is intended to shed light on such dark topics. By shedding light on such a dark topic, there is a belief that it will help to remove shame from victims, and place necessary responsibility on the offender - this will bring the darkness into light, I am certain. Despite all of the hurt, all of the pain, and everything that victims is led to believe there are victims that are lucky and fortunate enough to survive.
Fire catches quickly. Once one person speaks up, another person will.
Therefore, it will be easier for victims to reach out when they need it most. In this way, by knowing others have experienced similar situations, they will not feel as alone. Finding peace in the aftermath and continuing to live a prosperous life can be hard - but it is doable.
This book will serve as a great training resource for law enforcement, a helpful guide to victims and survivors, and it will serve as an educational tool for those not yet acquainted with the magnitude of Domestic Violence. You Are Loved, You Are Safe

Following Karmin Walker's second published book, 'Through My Eyes' it was apparent that a book needed to follow it up - a book for children who had lived through Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence is on the rise, especially with the quarantine rates ever high, and this is not a topic that we should not be talking about. Children see everything. Children hear everything. Children understand more than adults typically give them credit for. This book may not be able to address all of a child's questions or concerns, but it will, however, tell them that they can feel however they want, and it is normal for them to do so. They can feel mad, they can feel confused, they can feel hurt, and they can even miss their old home or old life - these are all normal reactions. This book may be able to simply serve as a gentle reminder that you are there, they are safe, and when they do find the words to verbalize their questions... they know that you will be there to help answer them. That's all a child needs during this time now that they are safe.

Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence is a silent but deadly killer all over the world, affecting all different cultures, and all populations. If you have not read Karmin Walker's book 'Through My Eyes' you should. That book will highlight Domestic Violence, while this book will highlight Sexual Assault. Please read this book at your own risk, as it is very graphic and will detail very traumatic events.
As a lifetime survivor of Sexual Assault, Karmin Walker is speaking out about her abuse. Abuse began for Walker at the age of 7 years old, to an incident at 16 years old, an abusive marriage starting at 18 years old, and another Sexual Assault at the age of 26. Walker nearly had been ready to give up, and become another statistic that Sexual Assault is a death sentence for survivors - but instead, she decided for the first time in her life to actually stand up and fight. Throughout her marriage, she would do what she needed to in order to keep herself safe, but she never attempted to hold any of her abusers accountable. Until now.
Enough is enough.
Sexual Assault committed by individuals in a position of power, let alone Sexual Assault at all, needs to be talked about. Walker has begun speaking up about her abuse, providing evidence of her claims as she goes, and continues to do so in an effort to stop it from happening to others. Walker is well aware of the fact that her abusers will never be held accountable, thus that is not the reason for speaking up nor is it the reason for writing this book. She writes and works with survivors only as a means to keep others safe, and to help bring awareness to the seriousness of the abuse. It truly can be a death sentence for individuals, men, and women, and Walker decided that instead of it being a death sentence for her that she would turn her pain and hurt into strength to lift others up.
When a law enforcement agency tells a survivor of rape that no wrongdoing was done, but yet... a Trooper calls a hit on the survivor, and they refuse to release a copy of the Sexual Assault investigation report, that screams wrongdoing. Every meticulous piece of this puzzle has been well put together, and being able to speak the truth of the matter feels like justice. This book will discuss everything, from Molestation, Rape, Domestic Violence, Sexual Harassment, Harassment in the workplace, Judicial System realities and failures, Sexual Assault, Indecent Exposure, organized crime, cover-ups within a government agency, No Contact Orders and Restraining Orders, Suicide and much, much, much more. Evidence will be published detailing both sides to prevent defamation, and show that what occurred did occur, the confessions, admissions, and changing testimony under oath.
