Follow up from April 6, 2022 blog post - here is the outcome:
As of April 7, 2022 I have been granted a No Contact Order against my rapist, an Alaska State Trooper! It will be filed with the courts on April 18, 2022 during our court hearing.
He took my bargain. I do not have to visit the depths of hell again, and I still get legal protection from him and if he violates any or all parts of it directly, indirectly, or even under a fake name, I have direct authority to pursue legal action! And he would be screwed if he did it again.
This also includes him not being able to slander, defame, or otherwise libel my name, as well as not being able to have me investigated by any third parties or investigate me himself (including through a Private Investigator). The bargain actually is more strict than the original order, the only difference, is he can keep access to firearms. That's all. It 110% makes it so I NEVER EXISTED TO HIM.
Hallelujah!!!! I could cry because I have waited a long freaking time for this!!!
I could not be more relieved today. The one thing that I have asked for since the beginning is something that just prohibited contact, because I knew, I fucking knew he wouldn't stop. How did I know this? Because I was married to a narcissist. I have played this game before. I know a restraining order does not stop people, and I know it is just a piece of paper... boy, do I know that well. But, damn, some people actually value what they have to lose. So, hopefully that will motivate them to communicate with someone else, other than me.
I did not have to go through hell again, and I am praising the Lord for that fact.
We need to normalize talking about people's shitty behaviors and PTSD. Holding it in for too long is not healthy for anyone. Everyone has a breaking point.
Praise the Lord today, but let's keep fighting for others.
The No Contact Order is done now, and it was offered as my bargain to him. If contact by him EVER in the course of my lifetime occurs again, I have full authority to pursue legal action against him. Beautiful.
For those that believe that I am "vengeful" or out for "revenge", this 100% proves the EXACT opposite. If I was... I would not have offered a deal to him. This saves me time, saves him time, and I still get protection from him FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Which was the entire point of beginning this in the first place.
I want accountability, and justice - not revenge. This proves that fact.
