How do you stay motivated and accomplish a lot in such a short period of time?!
I get asked this question a lot, therefore I wanted to take a moment to share the answer with all of you. I had talked to a friend of mine, Sally, recently about our schedules and we laughed. She had come over for a play date and also so we could discuss a dinner that we are hosting together to raise funds for a two-year-old little boy with brain cancer. We laughed at each other, because we had literally planned this playdate / dinner meeting about two or three weeks before meeting up. The busy-ness of life is inevitable.

She is married with a couple of kids, and I am a single mother. We both are independent women whose lives are fulfilled by helping others. When we were discussing how we even manage, she stated, "I always say, I am either doing it or I am not."
Which is SOOO true! You are either doing the things... or you are not. When you lead an extremely busy life, others can find it very weird and they do not know how you manage everything that you do... and honestly, if you sat down and thought about it... you wouldn't understand it either. But you just do it. Sometimes you do not know how, but you just do.

I have had so many people ask me what all I do, and why I stay so busy. I stay so busy because as a single mom I want to show my daughter that she can conquer whatever comes her way in life... without a man. Does this mean that I am anti-men? Well, maybe currently I am a bit... but I know eventually, realistically, something will come along our path. What happens then? Do I drop all of my plans?
Absolutely not. If anything was even going to be considered later on down the road... it would be a person that can join in with what I am doing, and support us. Hell, my daughter is six-years-old and is writing her first book. So, nothing and no-one is going to change my mind about this path that I am on, because it is teaching my daughter very early on that she can do whatever she wants - as long as she is helping, and not hurting. We are strong independent women, and we fight for the things that are worth fighting for.

So, then what is it that I do? Well, I... (1) Fight for justice, and advocate for other victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault; (2) I am writing 2 more books currently; (3) I currently am in the midst of a podcast album, and publishing a podcast every 8-14 days, as well as recording the audio books for out of the 3 books that I have already published thus far; (4) I homeschool my daughter; (5) I am finishing my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology; (6) I find time to cook dinner, clean the house, read books, and some weekends even make it to church on time; (7) I go to the gym between 2 and 5 days a week, depending on the schedule for that week (i.e., if family is in town and we do Taco Tuesday, or if there is Life Group on Wednesdays or not); (8) Completing a life coaching certificate; (9) Renovating an RV; (10) Fundraise and raise awareness for children in need or with a terminal illness; and (11) Own and run a Private Membership Association for social enrichment of youth.
What I have found, is that my life is my hobby. Why is this? Because I have now begun doing things that I love, so every moment feels like a side hobby. It's very fulfilling, and it is also weird to adjust to. Granted, I was sort of "forced into this life" so to say.
But you want to know how I stay motivated and energized?
Water!!!!!

Drink your water and stay hydrated my friends, and you too will be able to face unimaginable odds.
